I am very excited to finally be able to say it’s the weekend! With the time change this week, it is getting dark way too early and I really felt like I was dragging through the week. I also had a heck of the time in the kitchen this week. Several mediocre meals were cooked and one that was bad enough it was thrown away and replaced with a frozen pizza! The pizza did hit the spot though and I also successfully made my friend Mollie’s delicious banana bread recipe!
While I am sure my sluggish mood was in due to the weather, I also felt that my body was asking me to slow it down and it is so incredibly important to listen to your body. My workout schedule this week went as follows:
- Monday: The weather was too beautiful. I canceled out of Boxing and headed home to go on a long walk with Andy before the sun went down. It was nice to admire all of the beautiful leaves before we loose them!
- Tuesday: Yin Yoga. We focused a lot on stretching the neck and spinal twists, which both were very welcomed.
- Wednesday: Circuit Training Class and it left my arms feeling dead.
- Thursday: Rest Day
- And finishing off the week with an at-home workout of Core and Cardio!
While I have nothing to exciting to report from the week, I have a pretty fun weekend plans. We are hosting a Friendsgiving for our work friends tomorrow, which I am so excited for as I LOVE to host! I am in charge of the turkey so let’s say a prayer we don’t have to default to frozen pizza again 🙂
After dinner, us and our guests are ending the evening with a Dueling Pianos Fundraiser event. Both are annual traditions that we look forward to each year!
